Federal Terminal Ascent Bullets
Federal Terminal Ascent hunting bullet combines match-grade accuracy with the best components and bonding technology for reliable penetration and expansion at close or extreme long range. Solid-shanked with the lead core bonded to the copper jacket to assure weight retention for penetration and energy dump. Yet it mushrooms dependably on impact at velocities typically seen 1,200 yards downrange with a 200-grain high-speed .30 load. AccuChannel grooves improve accuracy while also decreasing barrel wear and fouling, and the highly technical grooves do it with minimal wind drag. The number and location of grooves are tailored to each caliber. Bullet shape boosts ballistic coefficient for even less wind drag. To assure the bullet mushrooms on impact, patent-pending hollow-core technology incorporates a small but deep cavity starting directly behind the ballistic tip. On impact, the tip breaks off and fluid enters the hollow core creating instant pressure that assures expansion at high or low velocity. High-end nickel plating gives the cartridges a signature appearance while also assuring smooth operation in the firearm’s action. Clean-burning propellant with ultra-reliable sealed primer. Initially offered in 11 cartridges that include 6.5 PRC, .280 Ackley Improved, and .28 Nosler. MSRP starts at $47.99. Terminal Ascent bullets also offered as components for handloading.
