Umarex Gauntlet .25 PCP Hunting Air Rifle
Umarex USA Gauntlet .25 precharged pneumatic air rifle lets you take up to 27 consistent shots at 895 feet per second with a 25-grain pellet delivering 45 foot-pounds of energy—all with a single fill of the 3,000 psi onboard tank. As long as the pressure gauge reads above 1,900 psi, the regulated system assures rock-steady accuracy with no loss of terminal energy. Standard Foster quick-connect fitting lets you fill the tank with the Umarex SuperFill hand pump, a fill tank, or a high-pressure air compressor. A simple release key lets you remove an air tank that is getting low and replace it with another fully-charged tank. No need to carry a bulky high-pressure refill tank or a pump. You may quickly load the bolt-action repeater with 8-shot magazines, and target shooters should appreciate the included single-shot tray for precision shooting. Full-length barrel shroud keeps everything quiet. Integral 11mm dovetail rail for mounting a scope. (Umarex suggests the 4-16x44 Gauntlet Scope from Axeon Optics, which includes rings ready for mounting to the Gauntlet.) Easily adjustable stock comb locks into position for an ideal cheek weld. At 8.5 pounds, the Gauntlet steadies quickly and balances naturally for off-hand accuracy. Integral sling studs for easy carry. MSRP $299.99. For more information go online at: UmarexUSA.com

Even the lightest 20-pound-test will hold a monster flathead with a perfect balance of toughness and controlled shock-absorbing stretch. Eight strands of woven synthetic fiber form a much thinner line than similar pound-test monofilament or fluorocarbon, slicing through current so baits settle closer to targeted structures and then stay in the strike-zone. Comes in hi-vis yellow or a mud brown that perfectly matches murky catfish waters. Available in 20 lb., 30 lb., 50 lb., 65 lb., and 80 lb. For more information, go online at: www.cortlandline.com
