Magnum Research has lightened the Magnum Lite® .22LR and .22WMR semiauto rifles with Barracuda American Black Walnut stocks in place of the heavier laminates. The new stocks feature thumbhole design with the right comb height for shooting with optics, a semi-palm swell of both sides of the pistol grip, and a molded-to-fit rubber buttplate. Both rifles come with Magnum Lite® graphite bull barrels that are six times as stiff as equivalent-weight steel; also dissipates heat up to 43 percent faster than steel. The .22LR with full-floating 17-inch bull barrel weighs less than 4.4 pounds. The .22 Magnum with 19-inch bull barrel weighs less than 4.5 pounds. Bentz target chambers optimize accuracy with the semi-auto actions. MRI bolts machined from heat-treated hardened 4140 steel also have minimal headspace for top accuracy.
