American Coon Caps allow you to bait and preset dog-proof traps at home. After placing bait in the barrel of the trap, depress the trap spring and insert the long end of the cap to hold it back. When ready to place the trap on the line, set the dog to take the tension off the spring, pull the cap, turn it around, and put the short end back in the trap.
